[Draft report] Peer learning

Deliverable 4.2 (D4.2) report reflects the outcomes of the peer learning activities conducted under WP4 “Replication: from peer learning to implementation” of the drOp project, throughout the project to facilitate the replication and uptake of the developed methodologies between the participating cities: Ermua (Spain) as the Lighthouse city (LC) and Elva (Estonia), and Matera (Italy) as peer cities. The report demonstrates how structured peer learning—combining workshops, study visits, and webinars—supports cities in adopting the Integrated Renovation Methodology (IRM) while adapting it to local contexts. The peer learning approach strengthened cities’ capacity to implement the IRM, resulting in tailored strategies for stakeholder engagement and economic development.
Within the peer learning framework, the drOp project employed a four-stage learning loop (gaining knowledge → applying knowledge → feedback → lesson learnt) to foster collaboration
between the cities and to co-develop strategies for stakeholder engagement, local economic development (LED), and IRM adaptation. Key activities include 8 study visits, 8 workshops and 5 webinars, in addition to many other activities such as discussions, reports, etc, which respond to gaining knowledge, receiving feedback and lessons learnt stages of the learning loop.
Applying knowledge is achieved continuously through hands-on activities, this is: learning by doing.

The deliverable is organized into six chapters describing and evaluating the peer learning activities developed throughout the project (WP4) to facilitate the replication and uptake of
the developed IRM between the participating cities.

Chapter 2 details the peer learning methodology concept in a general way followed by its application in the drOp project’s peer cities.

Chapter 3 provides the activities (workshops, study visits, webinars) overview, summarizing key events, participants, and outcomes.

Chapter 4 describes the peer learning activities performed in the framework of the peer learning process and Lessons Learned.

Chapter 5 provides an overview of participants’ evaluation.

Lastly, chapter 6 highlights the conclusions and lessons learned for the success of peer learning process.
